Common Mistakes That May Disrupt Your Multilogin Workflow

The Multilogin feature is powerful, but it only works effectively when used correctly. It is designed for teams managing multiple accounts, covering areas such as marketing, recruitment, e-commerce, and data scraping. Multilogin includes team collaboration tools, built-in global IPs, automation integration, and fingerprint masking, helping you stay discreet, efficient, and secure.
However, it is important to note: skipping or misusing these features can lead to serious problems, such as bans, data leaks, or performance degradation. Let's take a look at which areas might be problematic (and how to avoid them).
Neglecting Team Collaboration Features
The purpose of Multilogin's team collaboration tool is to help teams work safely and smoothly.

Possible issues:
- Credential leaks: Without role-based access, people end up sending passwords back and forth via email—which is both dangerous and outdated
- Session conflicts: When two team members open the same profile from different devices, it may trigger a fingerprint mismatch, sending alerts to the platform
- Collaboration chaos: Not organizing profiles into folders means team members will waste time looking for the correct profile
Use role-based access, shared folders, and comments to stay consistent without interfering with each other.
Global IP Settings Error
A global IP can hide your IP address and help your profiles 'reside' in different locations. The built-in global IP in Multilogin has been specifically optimized—but only if set correctly.
Possible issues:
- Reusing IPs: It is a big no-no for multiple profiles to use the same global IP—the platform will notice this and may ban all associated accounts.
- Geolocation mismatch: For example, using a US global IP to scrape EU prices on Skyscanner may display incorrect fares or trigger an HTTP 403 error.
- Global IP leaks: Low-quality global IPs may expose your real IP address. Imagine your Google Ads team’s actual location being revealed during a campaign—that’s bad.

Use unique, high-quality residential global IPs (Multilogin’s global IP works very well) and always match them with the correct region.
Abuse of Automation and CLI
Automation helps to scale tasks quickly, but it needs to be handled carefully.
Possible issues:
- Overload limits: Sending more than 1000 HTTP requests per minute to an API (such as Skyscanner's API) may result in your IP or account being banned.
- System overload: Forgetting to use headless mode or set concurrency limits may reduce speed or cause profile crashes — especially when your team is running more than 50 instances.
Use Multilogin CLI or automation libraries responsibly, limit requests, and start profiles properly.
Skip Fingerprint Masking

The fingerprint masking feature allows your profile to be unique. Without masking, your profile may appear suspicious or even identical to someone else’s.
Potential issues:
- Cloned fingerprints: Using the same set of fingerprint values across different profiles makes them look very similar—this is bad news for teams managing multiple accounts.
- Location mismatch: If the time zone and global IP are inconsistent, websites may think, "Hey, this user looks fake."
- Hardware exposure: Skipping WebRTC or font masking allows websites to identify your real device.
Follow fingerprint best practices and use the default settings unless you know exactly what you’re doing. Stay practical, consistent, and customize your global IP.
