Need to clean up messy profile names or keep everything organized? Great idea! Renaming your profiles in Multilogin only takes a few seconds, and there are two super easy ways to do it.

Remember: websites cannot see your profile name. So no need to worry about how to protect your profile!

Rename from the right-click menu

This is the fastest way to rename a profile directly from the list.

  • Right-click the profile you want to rename
  • Select 'Rename' from the menu
  • Enter the new name
  • Press Enter to save

Rename from configuration file settings

Do you want to change your name while adjusting other settings? Here's how:

Truly Useful Naming Techniques

Good news: Only you (and your team members, if shared) can see your profile name— the website cannot. So, you can name it whatever you like, as long as it helps you stay organized! Here are some quick tips:

  • Be specific: Include the platform or purpose (e.g., “FB_Ad_Team1” or “Amazon_Seller_UK”)
  • Keep it short and readable: 2-4 characters at most (e.g., “LinkedIn_LeadGen_Alice”)
  • Follow naming rules (if in a team): This way everyone stays in sync and can find what they need faster
