How to Replace the Mimic Icon of Multilogin on Windows

If you take a screenshot in Multilogin and want to replace the default profile icon, you need to do it manually. But don't worry – we will provide you with a simple step-by-step guide!
This solution is only applicable to Windows.

Step 1: Download and install Resource Hacker

- Go to the official website and download Resource Hacker
- Install and launch the application
Step 2: Find the Chrome executable file
- In File Explorer, click 'File' → 'Open'
- Navigate to the following folder: C:Users%USERNAME%mlxdeps
C:Users%USERNAME%mlxdeps
- Open the folder containing the latest browser version
- Select the executable file chrome.exe and open it:
chrome.exe
Step 3: Change the Icon

- In Resource Hacker, find the "Icon" folder
- Right-click the folder and select "Replace Icon," then click "Open file with new icon"
- To find the chrome.exe file for the replacement icon, locate it in the regular Chrome browser folder, the path is C:Program FilesGoogleChromeApplication

C:Program FilesGoogleChromeApplication

- After the replacement is complete, click "Replace," then click "Save"

Step 4: Repeat the above steps for chrome.dll

chrome.dll
- Open chrome.dll in the same Multilogin directory
chrome.dll
- Replace the icon following the same steps

Step 5: Finally
- Restart the computer
- Launch the Mimic profile in Multilogin: it will now show your new Chrome icon!
