What is the purpose of a session lock

Active session lock prevents the same browser profile from being opened on multiple devices simultaneously. This protects your data, fingerprint settings, and sync status, avoiding confusion.

Why Session Locks Are Useful

  • Protect data: Avoid losing cookies, form data, or unsaved work
  • Prevent sync issues: Prevent profile sessions from conflicting across devices
  • Maintain fingerprint consistency: Avoid detecting conflicting profile behavior

How Session Locks Work

When the configuration file is running on Device A, it cannot be opened simultaneously on Device B. If you try to open it, you will see a padlock icon instead of the start/stop button.

How to Unlock or Stop an Active Session

Normal Stop

Click the 'Stop' button in the profile list. This allows you to safely end the session and unlock the profile.

If the configuration file remains locked

  • Hover the mouse over the lock icon, then click "Unlock" or click "Unlock All" at the top right of the dashboard
  • Refresh the page – the padlock will disappear

If you do not see the 'Unlock Profile' button

  • Stop all running profiles
  • Disconnect the agent
  • Delete the .lock files in the /%username%/mlx folder
/%username%/mlx
.lock
