Why do you need a global IP?
A global IP is like a mask you wear online. It hides your real IP address (like your network ID) and gives your browser profile a new secret identity. This way, when you use multiple accounts or visit multiple websites, they won't know that this information comes from the same place.
What happens if a global IP is not used?

If you do not use a global IP, your profile will use your real IP, which is the IP provided by your Internet service provider. Here’s what could happen:
- All your profiles will appear to come from the same place — this is a major red flag for websites
- Websites may think you are trying to cheat or break the rules and may block or ban your account
- Websites will be able to track your real location and identity
Can you use a VPN or hotspot?
You can do this, but it's not the best option. The reasons are as follows:
- A VPN will change the IP address of your entire internet connection, not just your Multilogin profile. This can cause issues and information leaks.
- Hotspots (such as using your phone's internet) can work, but they are usually slow and unstable, making it difficult to run multiple profiles at the same time.
- Neither option gives you the same control as the global IP within Multilogin.

Why is a global IP better?
- Each profile has its own unique IP – no confusion
- Global IP works only within Multilogin, so your other applications remain normal
- You can easily choose IPs from different countries or cities
- They handle a large number of profiles more quickly and reliably
